The 5F1 is is a classic circuit for a reason. It sounds great and offers a wide range of tonal options from clean to cranked gains. This amp is dead quiet in terms of noise floor - no hum, no buzz, no hiss.
- AES Power and Output Transformers (4 / 8 Ω switchable)
- Custom In-House CNC Cut 2mm Turret Boards
- JJ Tube Set - 12AX7, 6V6S, 5Y3S
- Belton Tube Sockets
- CTS Custom Taper Potentiometers
- Switchcraft Jacks
- Carling Switches
- MOD Power Supply Capacitors
- Mallory 150 Coupling Capacitors
- Weico 22 AWG Tinned Stranded Wire
This amplifier has a slightly modified layout as there is a power toggle switch (instead of a switchable volume knob) in the fuse position. The fuse is located inside the chassis. This is done to have the amplifier wired to current safety codes while eliminating unwanted noise being picked up by the AC voltage so close to the guitar signal going through the volume control.
Important - This amplifier is not designed to used as a stand alone "head" and should be mounted in a cabinet. Potentially lethal voltages inside.
Chassis is standard 5F1 size. Mounting holes are 7-13/16" on center. Will fit Mojotone or Weber Cabinets no problem.
Warranty: Each Barbeaux Amplifier comes with a 2-Year Warranty (Parts & Labor Only) from date of delivery against any manufacturer defects - excluding tubes.

Top notch build quality. Barbeaux Amps offers custom amps along with modification options at a great price point. Low noise operation and solid signal quality, as advertised.
High quality construction.
I play this little 5w 5F1 champ more than any of my others. Paired with a 6g15 reverb it is just perfect.

For reference purposes: chassis was installed in a re-purposed Fender Pro Jr cabinet loaded with a 1959 Jensen P10S speaker.
