This originally started out as one of my Lil' Sis Desktop models with an added master volume just before the output stage. Long story short - it sounded not great since much of the tone of tweed amps come from driving the output tube. With a hole in the top of the chassis I to come up with something that could work and sound fantastic. And this is it - a tastefully modified AA764 Champ circuit int a small portable footprint.
The controls on the front panel are treble and bass with the volume on the top surface between the tubes. Just above the input jack is a 3-position mids switch that takes the fixed mids resistor from stock (far right) to very scooped on the far left. The rear panel has the 8 ohm speaker jack and 3-position negative feedback switch with stock value in the "up" position, reduced NFB in the middle, and no NFB in the down position.
Because of the added tone shaping switching options this amp is extremely versatile without causing option paralysis where you spend more time flipping switches than playing. Each setting is useful and offers a meaningful change. From ultra pedal-friendly to very near tweed-ish raw mid-forward tones. Sounds very big and full with a 12" speaker.
This is a small amp "head" occupying a roughly 7.5" x 7.5" footprint (+ ~2" for handle) is built in a Hammond Diecast Aluminum chassis - CNC cut in-house for perfect fit and finish. Component lists as follows:

This prototype lives in the world of Fender that will never get old to me. I bought it to use as a practice amp because my Deluxe is too loud. The switches help it go from Jazz to Country easily. The build quality is exception, and the features are welcome.
Seller was receptive to my shipping concerns and it was packed well.
